FOREVER

Because of boredom I browsed my old friendster account. There I saw my old and almost forgotten blog. This particular blog made me smile. I guess it was the time I was questioning Love and Forever. Fast forward to today I must say I am a solid believer of love and forever. Obviously, I'm engaged and getting married 80 days from now! Yeiy!

Here's what I wrote.

Published: 8.10.05 / 12pm

Just a though… Almost every time, we lose something or when things come to an end, we feel so sad. We feel disheartened, discouraged, dismayed and dispirited. It even comes to a point that it feels like the end of the world… We sulk so much that we question FOREVER… We look back, reminisce and recollect the promises. Sulk some more, cry some more, remorse, and snivel… As we do, we question if the people we used to have meant what they said…

A few days ago, never mind exactly when. I came up with my own of some sort of an answer… Yes I do believe that people has the ability to really mean what they say, but sometimes as time goes by and as people change, this feelings alter to something that is different… Promises are meant to be broken and SOME THINGS JUST DOESN’T MEANT TO LAST TILL FOREVER. If everything last that long, FOREVER wouldn’t be special after all…

Thank you 2010 and Hello 2011!

Happy New Year everyone!!

Our MediaNoche was a blast! Not much of the loud firecrackers but still we managed to make noise with our "turotot" that hopefully made the bad spirits go away. The feast last night was amazing too, final pig-out for the year (diet na ko after!). Prepared my yearly all "BILOG" fruit basket and other Feng Shui stuff!

See my fruit basket? Spot where my Feng Shui stuff!

Welcome 2011! A lot of things I am looking forward to this year, looking forward to our wedding this May and to married life! A little bit scared but bring it on! Hehehehehe! This year is also the year Aila, my little sister is going to school! Excited to see her in her cute uniform. I'm also expecting this year. Expecting for my SISTER Ayiz's 2nd baby that is! Hahahaha.. Magiging Tita nanaman ako! Today means a fresh clean slate for me and for all of us! I am hoping and praying that 2011 will be nice to  me and to all of my love ones.
But before I fully move forward to 2011, I would like to thank 2010 for the blessings!

A lot of things to be thankfull for in 2010 and I'll mention few that's hard to forget. The greatest gift 2010 gave me and my family is good health. It is one thing that I pray for every start of the year and 2010 gave that to me. Last year was also the year I turned into an Industrial Engineer. Yeah, after 2 years of my Lead Technician days and 2 years as an IE Technician Specialist in SunPower I was finally fullfilling what I wrote on my High school year book! It was a nice feeling to be able to do that. Really nice! The year 2010 was also the year I made grown-up decisions, Vic and I purchased a 150sqm.lot (will be done paying in 5++ years, yeiy!) and I said YES when he proposed November 2011! Yup got engaged in 2010! I also tasted freedom from my braces this year, after two and a half years of jailed teeth, I was free!!! Got tons of stuff I should be thankful for but I'm afraid will take too much blogging space, I will definitely include in my prayers though. Count on that! Thank you 2010 for being kind, for letting my rise and stand up in times you challenged my faith. Thank you!

Our Family on New Year's eve.
Cheers!

REHAB DAY2,3,4 till 6!

My knee is feeling better kahit na chubby pa rin yung kaliwa. After the third rehab, Dr.Sarmiento told me that we have to remove the water inside my knee. Isa pang set daw ng rehab! the cricking and the sound that my knee makes is normal.. "it comes with age" daw sabi ni Doc. Alagaan nalang daw ang tuhod para hindi lumala. Nainis ako sa totoo lang, ang bata ko pa kaya! Tapos yung tuhod ko walang problema pero may signs of aging na. Hay! So sad. Anyway Dr. Sarmiento stick to the MRI result and says theres nothing wrong aside from the effusion. Sana makuha na sa 2nd week of Rehab! I miss running! And boxing din, kahit medyo mahal ang lessons! Kuya Edison malapit na akong magtrain! Hehehehhe!

Again with the gel!

Kuryente - Check!

Heat source!!!!

Leg lifts!

Paano ba gagaling toh?

Lakasan ko kaya yung kuryente?

Titigan ko nalang.
Hehehehe!

My Loco Moco!

Its not Sunday, but this morning I had to fulfill my girlfriend duties! And that is to prepare the weekly breakfast surprise! Vic will go on a road trip this Sunday so I prepared breakfast today! It was his birthday last Thursday and I thought of preparing something new as part of his birthday gift! I was thinking so hard what to prepare since Monday then again Cafe World inspired me! I prepared my favorite cafe world's  meal which is Loco Moco! Hahahaha!

Cafe World's Loco Moco
My Version of Loco Moco!
Ingredients:
Store bought burger patties, McCormick mushroom gravy and button mushrooms
Eggs
Garlic and onions
Fried rice (or just plain steamed rice)

How to:
Fry eggs and beef patties and set aside.Follow instructions on the back label of McCormick mushroom gravy. Saute the mushroom with garlic and onions. Dont forget salt and pepper! Combine the gravy with sauteed mushrooms and let it simmer. Arrange the eggs and beef patties on the bed of fried rice and drizzle with your yummy mushroom gravy! Enjoy!

The verdict: Vic loved it! He said its not the typical breakfast! Yahoo! Another score for moi!

REHAB Day1

Hindi naman ako adik but I need to undergo rehab. Hehehehe! Well not me actually but my right knee. The result of the MRI was read today by Doc Albert.

Excerpt from the MRI Result: "The medial and lateral menisci are normal in configuration with intact surfaces and internal signals." "Surrounding soft tissues are unremarkable." "Minimal joint effusion."

Phew! Ibig sabihin hindi miniscus tear! Yehey! I was suspecting it was because of what I read in the internet. Pareho kasi ng symptoms. I was not alone with that suspicion, because may doctor was thinking of the same thing too. Kaya nga nya ko pinag MRI. Ngayon na hindi nga yun ang sakit ko, he wants me to undergo rehabilitation or therapy. He said even if the MRI says its nothing, we have to make the pain go away. Tama naman yung sinabi ni Doc. If I've been feeling this for a long time it has to be something and we have to do something about it.

And then I was off to therapy!

In this therapy clinic was another Doctor! He did some check-up before letting me have the therapy. I feel he suspects the same thing. He was making an introduction about what is MRI when I cut him and  showed him the result  of the MRI I just had. He said its not miniscus tear but I really need to undergo therapy. Namamaga daw kasi, baka mali daw ang pagtakbo ko. After rehab then he will evaluate whats happening to  my knee. Bawal daw muna ang marathon while rehab! Huhuhuhuh! But it is for the best so its all good!

Rehab Step1
My knee was electrocuted but it felt good. Like million mini warm massages!

Rehab Step2

Spreading a cold and slimmy stuff on my knee.

Leg raise/lift with weights!

Hoping all this will work. Ano kaya ang ibang activities next session?

MRI

Isang linggo na since I wrote about my painful knee, I took a friend's advice and went to a sports doctor. Sa wakas,I finally went to see him last Wednesday. After checking my knee, he advised me to undergo MRI. Kailangan daw yun para malaman talaga ang problema.

I thought MRI was just a little bit expensive than the ordinary x-ray, turns out its not. I realized how expensive it was when I browsed my receipt the day after my consultation. The MRI cost is a whooping P13,000! Ang mahal! P10,000 lang actually because they gave me a discount. Good thing my health card paid for it!

September 6 was my schedule for the MRI. I'm very much sure that I'll be asked to wear a revealing hospital gown. As preparation I made sure I was wearing a nice pair of undergrments to avoid any embarasment! Hahahhah! Vic accompanied my to Asian hospital, kahit na kulang ang tulog nya, pang gabi ang pasok at kahit na chances are he might commute to work, sinamahan pa rin nya ako. Ang sweet! Hindi lang halata but my boyfriend certainly is.

The nurse is nice and accomodating, hindi katulad nung front desk na bruho! Before going inside machine he gave me a  clean hospital gown to change into.Sabi ko na nga ba! I was surprise with the gown, I was covered up and I didn't feel my crack exposed! Yeah! However, I still feel like a fashion victim in it! I was hoping they will also lend my slippers but I ended up wearing my Chuck Taylor's with the gown. Ang baduy! Hehehehehe!

Vic's making fun of me! Fashion victim!
^______^

They MRI technician was nice! Sabi nya, as much as possible I should try not to move my right leg. He gave me earplugs and even tucked me in a fresh and clean yellow blanket. My feet entered the machine first, hanggang balikat nalang ang naka labas sa katawan ko nang bigla kong naisip; ganito ba pag cremated? Panic creep into me, bigla akong natakot buti nalang tumigil yung machine. Akala ko the machine can detect panic! Hehehehe! Turns out hanggang dun nalang pala ipapasok yung katawan ko dahil tuhod naman ang titignan! Realizing that made me feel calm.Hehehehe!

The machine is kinda noisy, and the noise is not helping me to relax. Bakit ganun? Pag sinabi sayo na wag kang gagalaw, that is the time naman na gustong gusto mong gumalaw! I did not move my right leg, but my left leg can't help it as well as the rest of my body. Hindi nagtagal, the annoying sound (sound of a badly set spin dryer) turned into a techno beat at hindi na ko masyado bore.
Asian Hospital has GE MRI just like this.

Instead of letting my mind think about time, I prayed that the result of the MRI is not going to be bad. I want to run, but more than that I don't wanna have a bad knee. A bad knee that will not let me do fun! Hope not!

I pray this will be my first and last MRI. Thanking God for my thoughtful Vic and also for giving a chance to work in a company that provides a good health card. Now prayerful for a healthy result!

Breakfast at Amai's Kitchen

I was up till 2am and it was all because of Facebook! Gone are the days that I make fun of my workmates and friends who are addicted to FB games, now I'm part of the cult. Nyaahaha!!

It's Sunday and it means my Lovey will go at our house to visit. He'll again be coming here straight from work so it means he'll be here very early. As I've written before, Sunday is our only day for each other, and it has become part of "our day" to share breakfast! I was still very sleepy but I have to do it, it is a must and I know he looks forward to what I'm going to prepare.

This morning I prepared fried rice! I prepared not the ordinary garlic rice that I usually make. This time I added some leftover "longganisa" (sausage) from last night's dinner. With it I also prepared canned tuna, to make it special I sauteed it with garlic and tomato chuncks! I also added some green chillies to make it more yummy and spicy!

Colorful isn't it?
I had to make it super yummy and colorful as the dishes I prepare in Cafe World!
^______^
He said it was by far the best version of tuna he ever tasted! He also noticed how colorful the dish was, he said I maybe inspired form all the cooking I do in Cafe World! Hahahahahaha!
